Deepen your knowledge

Consider this the reading room. Follow what calls to you, skip what doesn’t, and come back as often as you like. Nothing here is homework, there’s no hurry, and none of it expires. A Winter organ profile can be just as useful in July: each season is a whole pattern—its organs, its element, its emotion, its habits and imbalances—and the body can fall into that pattern any time of the year. Some of what’s here is reference, the kind you return to when a season or symptom arrives. Some reads like a letter, written for you in the tender moments and the triumphant ones. Much of what’s here follows these threads:

  • Seasonal profiles. Using the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) seasons and the zodiac, discover which organs and emotions are at play and how to best support them
  • The Holistic Medicine Cabinet. Natural remedies, one per post: where each comes from, what tradition and research say about it, and how you can use it
  • Practices and protocols. A variety of activities and rituals, from smudging a room to a five-day seasonal reset
  • Reflections. What’s been noticed over the years, in her own body, in the people she’s worked with, and in the turn of a season

More musings can be found on Instagram and Facebook, from homemade teas to moon-based ceremonies or simply a dog cuddle.
