By incorporating the following themes, nutrition and activities into your awareness and daily practices, you’ll be able to balance and support the body by utilizing the energies of nature and the current cosmic connections.
Cancer season soothes and offers sustenance. This season covers all of your basic needs from nourishment and rest to shelter and love. The primary focus for the season is around creating a sense of trust and connection with yourself. It’s the sweet spot after a busy time to sit back, have patience, and watch things manifest before your eyes.
The moon is the planetary body associated with our emotional being and heart space. It teaches us to honor our emotions, in the most compassionate way. This means offering yourself permission to be curious about how you’re feeling and learn to ask for what you need.
Water encourages us to go deep, to be still, to listen. Commit to cultivating a nurturing voice as you navigate the month ahead.

Mudra: Ida Mudra (Gesture of the Lunar Nadi)
Ida means “comfort” and is associated with the energy of the moon and the feminine (yin) energy. This mudra activates the free flow of cooling, receptive energy that supports the relaxation response through the central nervous system. By holding this mudra and directing the breath into the lower abdomen, one can cultivate a massaging effect to the deep organs of cancer season. Additionally, this mudra opens the first and second chakra, and encourages a deep sense of self-nourishment.
Hold the tips of the ring fingers to the thumbs and extend the other fingers outward. Place your hands over your heart space with fingertips pointing towards each other. Relax your shoulders back and down. Breathe deeply. Practice this mudra on a daily basis through cancer season.
Seasonal Cosmic Activity: Moon Water
Making your own moon water is a great way to set intentions for cultivating more self-love in your life.
For an amazing energetic reset, consider doing this every evening throughout cancer season 6/21-7/22.
