Glow Cleanse

As the seasons change (and throughout the year), it is a great time to treat yourself right with incorporating more fresh produce into your diet. Whether you've been enjoying cozy, wintery weekends or summer patio evenings reconnecting with friends, our bodies can benefit from, and sometimes beg for, a detox.

Meet my GLOW CLEANSE. Not only will we give our digestion a rest with a five day plant-based eating plan, we will also support detoxification pathways, and our emotional bodies. You’ll receive the plan with lots of recipes for all your meals, snacks, and metabolixirs, as well as other season specific supports.

Overall benefits to a plant-based detox

Eating a plant-based diet has extraordinary impacts on your health including:

  • Taking pounds off rapidly and keeping weight managed
  • Fighting diabetes
  • Improving heart health by lowering the risk of clogging in arteries
  • Helping to decrease inflammation
  • Naturally detoxifying your body by consuming fewer chemicals, hormones, and antibiotics


Along with the plant power of this cleanse, we are also going to focus on a couple other keys to helping rev up your metabolism while detoxifying rancid unhealthy fats.

Key organs involved

When it comes to reversing slow toxic metabolism and losing stubborn fat, the GALLBLADDER and BILE (organs associated with Spring) are critically important. Bile is made in the liver for the purposes of breaking down the fats you eat, and moving toxins out of the body. The gallbladder’s job is to store and provide bile as needed. Without a good infusion of bile, you can’t digest or absorb fat-soluble nutrients, vitamins, and fatty acids that are critical for healthy cell membranes, hormone production, and you certainly can’t detox properly! So, we need to give some extra love to create healthy gallbladder function and bile production, even if you have had your gallbladder removed.

We do this by incorporating more bitter foods into your diet and consuming Metabolixirs daily to “get your juices flowing”. Additionally, consuming the bitter taste will help reduce cravings for sweet foods.

We will also be giving the LUNGS and LARGE INTESTINE (organs associated with Fall) some TLC by incorporating warming teas and herbs to our diet, as well as noticing and allowing the emotions of the season, all while allowing our body to rest.

Cleanse details

This plan is not rigid, the goal is to get you to incorporate foods that you like, while we give your digestion a break as we cleanse and reset. To make the process easier, I’ve provided recipes to ensure that you have plenty to eat during the five days. You can tailor each day to your personal preference, just follow the general guidelines and stay plant based.

This cleanse can be done on your own if you prefer or if you like a little more support, consider joining the community cleanse. By participating at the same time as others, you’ll benefit from community motivation and more engagement from me as I cleanse with you, through a Facebook group to share your ideas and experiences.
